2/10/93:
o Apple LaserWriter Select 300
The Apple LaserWriter Select provides laser printing with high-quality results,
an expansion path to PostScript, printer sharing from multiple Macintosh
computers, and extensive paper-handling capabilities. Designed for individual
use, the LaserWriter Select 300 printer is ideal for customers who want a
convenient, reliable way to produce professional quality letters, reports,
memos, and charts. The new printer also comes with AppleUs FinePrint
technology to smooth out lines and curves. In addition, customers can add
Adobe PostScript compatibility or PhotoGrade technology to print documents
containing graphics or images with 90 levels of gray--thatUs equivalent to
1,000 dpi. For added convenience, an optional 250- or 500-sheet paper tray can
be added to your LaserWriter Select 300. And for added versatility, AppleUs
GrayShare software also lets you share your printer with others on a network
and achieve maximum Macintosh compatibility.
o Apple LaserWriter Select 310
The Apple LaserWriter Select 310 is the most affordable PostScript laser
printer ever to come from Apple, and is designed for personal use by both
Macintosh and Windows computer users. Adobe PostScript printing provides
high-quality results and compatibility with all major application
programs--with 300 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution for exceptional text and
graphics. The Apple LaserWriter Select 310 fits comfortably on any desktop and
makes it easy for users to produce outstanding reports, letters, memos, charts,
and graphs. For added flexibility, users can print text in a wide range of
styles and sizes, as well as, a selection of 13 scalable fonts including
popular standards as Times, Helvetica, and Courier. To enhance productivity,
users can continue to use their Macintosh or Windows computer while the
document prints in the background.
